Gustavo has been a Partner at Lloreda Camacho & Co. since 1987. He heads the Litigation and Telecommunications practice groups, and also oversees the Franchising practice. Gustavo has participated in numerous cross-border M&A and financing transactions, mainly within the telecommunications sector in Latin America.
Gustavo has a law degree from Universidad de los Andes and a specialization degree in Procedural Law from Universidad del Rosario, both in Bogotá, Colombia.
Gustavo has served on several company boards of directors, mainly within the telecommunications sector in Colombia.
He has been ranked by Chambers & Partners and Legal 500 as one of Colombia’s leading Corporate/M&A and Telecommunications, Media and Technology lawyers.
Gustavo is a member of the International Bar Association (IBA) and the American Bar Association (ABA).
He has been invited by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) as an expert to present case studies of successful regulation in several Latin American countries.
Gustavo is co-author of the Colombian Chapter of the Dispute Resolution Review, edited by Law Business Research, London, Editions 2014 and 2015. He has also written articles on the subjects of financial and telecommunications law and litigation, including Case Studies on Convergence and the Information Society in Latin America: Successful Regulation Examples from Brazil, Colombia and Venezuela.
