The constitutional Court, through its decision C-491 from 2019, determined that the double taxation convention between Colombia and the United Kingdom and its protocol are constitutional. The aforementioned convention will avoid double taxation concerning income tax and capital gains, and also prevent tax evasion. This convention will be enforceable from January 1 of 2020.
