Natalia joined the firm in 2016 and is the Senior Associate of the Environmental department in the- Natural Resources practice.

She has a Law degree (J.D. Equivalent) from Universidad de los Andes and her Masters in Natural Resources Law Degree from Universidad Externado de Colombia.

Natalia has more than 10 years of specific experience in advising national and foreign companies in their doing business in Colombia.

She was a junior associate of the environmental practice at one of the largest law firms in the country and later she was an environmental in-house lawyer for an investment fund in oil&gas and real estate projects.

Natalia´s experience focuses on legal advice to the private sector, regarding environmental regulatory compliance and environmental risk management, in the structuring, operation and dismantling of projects from various economic sectors, as well as in the development of legal memorandums and legal opinions on environmental regulations and compliance; advice on first-time requests, modifications and assignments of licenses permits, authorizations and other administrative procedures before the environmental authorities; advice and support in the defense against environmental investigations and requirements; environmental legal audits and environmental diagnoses (due diligence); advice in the structuring and implementation of environmental conservation projects; development and update of environmental legal matrices; training in environmental regulation; and in general, advise and support in day-to-day environmental aspects of the projects.
