Néstor joined the Firm in 2007 and is the Director of the Intellectual Property - Patents area. He holds a degree in Chemistry with a master's in Physical Chemistry from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia and a Master of Law with an emphasis on Intellectual Property from Universidad Externado de Colombia.

He has over 17 years of experience as a patent advisor in Colombia, LATAM, the United States, and Europe, he has played a crucial role in all stages of the patent acquisition and defense process across various technological sectors. Additionally, he has supported technological surveillance and freedom-to-operate projects for numerous national and international companies.

His professional profile allows him to master the patent system and understand both the corporate strategy of companies dedicated to intellectual property and the need to create value for companies that protect and exploit the results of research and development.

Since 2017, he has been an active lecturer at WIPO, conducting courses on technological searches and patent drafting at the LATAM level.

Néstor has been recognized in Colombia by prestigious global rankings such as IAM Patent 1000, he is also an active member of international legal associations, including the Inter-American Intellectual Property Association (ASIPI).
