Resolution 21 of 2020, a new“Clasificación Industrial Internacional Uniforme” (hereinafter “CIIU”) for tax purposes

The National Tax Authority (hereinafter “DIAN”) issued Resolution 21 of 2020, by means of which adopted the new CIIU included in the paragraph of Article 1 of Resolution 0549 from May 8 of 2020 issued by DANE.

If your CIIU is included in the mentioned Resolution, the Certificate of Incumbency and Good Standing, the National Tax Registry (hereinafter “RUT”), and the Local Tax Registry (hereinafter “RIT”) must be updated. Now, if your CIIU is not included in the Resolution mentioned above, it is because your CIIU was not changed. Therefore, no updates will be required in the mentioned tax registries and certificate.
