THE DEADLINE TO REGISTER PERSONAL DATABASES WITHIN THE NATIONAL DATA BASE REGISTRY WILL BE EXTENDED
On November 2016, the SIC issued Decree 1759 of 2016, and extended until June 30, 2017 the term in which private legal entities and mixed economy companies registered within the chamber of commerce should perform the registry of their data bases within the National Data Base Registry (NDBR).
Nevertheless, the SIC informed thru its web page and social networks that the aforementioned term will be extended once again. This measure will warrant that more companies comply with the regulation.
As per the project of Decree by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, the term to register data bases within the NDBR would be extended as follows:
-
For private entities registered with the Chamber of Commerce and mixed economy companies the term would be extended until January 31, 2018;
-
For individuals and legal entities of public nature (different than those companies with public and private funding) and legal entities of private nature not registered with the Chamber of Commerce, the term would be extended until January 31, 2019.
It is expected that the decree would be issued in the following days. We will keep you posted in any news.
